Maple Holistics Silk 18 Conditioner Review

Hey beautiful people! Today I’m reviewing the Silk 18 Conditioner from Maple Holistics. I’ve been using it in combination with their Argan Oil shampoo for about a month now and I’m really liking the results. It has 18 silk amino acids which are supposed to provide moisture and shine. I’ve definitely noticed that my hair is super soft and seems to be well moisturized. My hair tends to get a little dry in between washes especially if whatever products I’m using aren’t really doing their job, but since I’ve been using these products that hasn’t been an issue. Like all products from Maple Holistics, the Silk 18 Conditioner is sulfate free. Oh yeah, it smells good too…like vanilla cupcakes! So if you’re looking to switch up your hair care routine and you need something affordable and  non-toxic that’s going to help with retaining moisture, this conditioner or any of their other products could work for you. Maple Holistics, Silk 18 Conditioner, All Natural Hair Products

Maple Holistics Tea Tree Oil Shampoo Review

Hey guys! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted and it’s because…well, life. Lol! Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and I’m back with a review of a product that was sent to me by Maple Holistics. They specialize in natural and holistic products for bath and body, hair and skin care, personal care and even food. I received a bottle of their Tea Tree Oil Shampoo to try.

Maple Holistics Tea Tree Oil Shampoo

It’s sulfate, parabens, gluten, GMO and cruelty-free. It’s supposed to clear away dead skin and sooth the scalp. I’m very picky with what I put in my hair but I’m all about natural products so I was very interested in testing this out to see how my hair responded to it. While I was shampooing I kind of felt like it was drying my hair out. But it felt really nice on my scalp and it smells like tea tree oil so no problem there. After I dried my hair I waited before adding any other product just to see the full effect it had, and my hair actually wasn’t dried out. It felt really smooth and lightweight like all the build up from the hair products I use regularly had been washed away. I was impressed. I personally would use this specifically as a clarifying shampoo. It’s not going to add any moisture to your hair so I’d follow up with a good moisturizing  leave-in product or conditioner. Overall, I think it’s a pretty decent shampoo. Anything that actually does what it claims to do is a win in my book! If you’d like to try this or one of their other products for free, go to their free sample page and choose which product you’d like to receive. Too easy!

That’s it for now. Until next time…XoXo

August Essence Beauty Box

I got my Essence beauty box for this month a few days ago. Here’s what was inside…

  1. 1. Sweetspot Labs on-the-go wipettes in three different scents: Grapefruit Verbena, Neroli Mandarin, and Vanilla Blossom. These are 98% natural, gynecologist recommended and ph balanced. They can also be used for your whole body.SweetSpot, on-the-go wipette, Essence Beauty Box, August Essence Beauty Box
  2. Camille Rose Coconut Water Leave-In Detangling Treatment This leave-in treatment has a non-greasy, lightweight formula that combines coconut water with natural oils to provide hair with maximum moisture and shine.Camille Rose, Coconut Water leave-in hair treatment, Camille Rose Naturals, Leave in treatment
  3. Skin&Co Roma Umbrian Truffle Hand Cream & Citrus Amaro Hand Cream The Umbrian Truffle Hand Cream is ultra smoothing and formulated with natural apricot oil and black winter truffle and fig. The Citrus Amaro Hand Cream has avocado oil, sicilian orange and lavender.
  4. Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Cowash This cowash is sulfate-free, sud free and provides gentle cleansing to remove build up and residue between washings.Eden Bodyworks, Coconut Shea Cowash, Natural Hair Care Products, Essence Beauty Box, August Essence Beauty Box, Natural Hair Products
  5. Nudestix Pencils For eyes, lips and face, this pencil contains vitamins, antioxidants and moisturizers. Creates a quick and easy fresh-faced nude look.

I’m loving everything in this box although I gave the Eden Bodyworks cowash to my oldest son and I’ll be using the Camille Rose Detangling treatment for my youngest son because the only thing I use for my hair is Deva Curl. So, initially I was just trying out different beauty boxes to see which ones I would like…I actually have a new one on the way now. I’ll definitely be keeping my subscription to the Essence Beauty Box. By the way, there’s also 10% off using code NS10ESSENCE, redeem at NUBIANSKIN.COM/US before 9/30/16.

Thanks for stopping by!
