July Essence Beauty Box

Hey guys, I’ve got another beauty box to share. This one is the Essence Beauty Box. I wanted to try something that would include products for curly hair along with the makeup and skincare products. This is my first box, here’s what was inside:Essence, Essence Beauty Box, July 2016 Essence Beauty Box

  1. Ouidad Curl Immersion Triple Treat Deep Conditioner Product states: “This super rich moisturizing conditioner banishes dryness while encouraging optimal conditioning of your natural curl shape.” It contains Coconut, Olive and Grapeseed oils. I have been wanting to try this brand for over a year. I’m excited to see how this conditioner compares to the one I use by Deva Curl.
  2. Completely Bare Moisturizing No-Bump Shave Gel Product states: “Plant extracts help condition and smooth skin, special blend of essential oils create a protective moisture barrier for longer lasting hydration, chamomile extract helps soothe skin and prevent irritation…keeps in-grown hairs and bumps at bay.” I’m a sucker for scents and this smells really good. I’ll be trying this out on my legs tonight!completely bare, Moisturizing No-Bump Shave Gel, Essence Beauty Box
  3. pur-lisse Blue Lotus Essential Daily Moisturizer Product states: “protects + moisturizes, absorbs easily, no white tint, perfect for under makeup.” Broad spectrum SPF 30, for normal-dry-sensitive skin. I probably won’t even bother trying this, it smells like sunscreen which is fine with me but it feels kind of oily and since it states that it’s for normal-dry skin, I think I better leave it alone.pur-lisse, Blue Lotus Essential Daily Moisturizer, Essence Beauty Box
  4. Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Refreshingly Clean Towelettes Product states: “Gently cleanse, tone & refresh removing dirt, oil & impurities leaving no sticky residue.” Witch hazel is really good for your skin. I’ve used their toner before and loved it. I’m going to see if I can find these towelettes in Walmart and I’ll also be buying that toner again.
  5. Ciate’ Nail Polish “iced frappe” This is a neutral, nude color polish…very pretty. I’ve never purchased anything from this brand but I love this color. I’m going to use it today when I go for a fill-in and polish change.

  6. Kajal Eyeliner Pen  This is a matte eyeliner, the color is “Inky Purple”. It comes in 7 shades and has a smudger.

So that’s it for my first Essence Beauty Box. The only product I know for sure that I’m not going to bother with is the pur-lisse moisturizer, I like everything else. I’m excited to see what I get next month!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Bargain Shopping Makeup Haul

The end of July is right around the corner and I’m still sorting through bags of makeup and stuff that I bought this month and last. I need to be packing it all up because we’re moving into our new house next week and who knows how long it’s going to take me to unpack it all once we’ve settled in. Anyway, today’s post is for all my makeup lovers who also happen to be thrifty spenders. I purchased quite a few things from about five different places for under $50.00…total.

  1. ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip  I bought two of these..”Dopey” & “Frick N Frack”. They’re only $6 and as some of you already know, ColourPop has a wide variety of shades. Love love love!
  2. Palladio Herbal Lipstick I picked this up in the shade “Smitten” at Sally Beauty. There are 24 shades and the regular price is $6.49, but with a beauty club card it’s $5.99. FYI..the beauty club card really helps to save money and get you free/extra products here and there.
  3. Wet N Wild Under the Sheets Makeup Remover Towelettes These cruelty free makeup removing wipes are only $2.99 at Walgreens. They’re also sold at Five Below, Walmart & Target.Wet N Wild, Makeup Remover Towelettes, Walgreens
  4. Wet N Wild Mega Matte Lipstick Wet N Wild products are available pretty much anywhere I think but I grabbed mine at Five Below for $1.99. The price is the same on the Wet N Wild website. There are 26 shades, I bought “Ravin’ Rasin”.
  5. Milani Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow I bought this at CVS for $9.99. There are 6 different palettes, I have “03 Smokey Essentials”. The price is the same on Milani’s website but of course there will be shipping costs.
  6. Smoke & Mirrors 5pc Contour Crayon Kit  I found these at Five Below for $5 and decided to get them since I’ve been obsessed with highlighting and contouring lately. There are step by step directions on the back of the box.

*The rest of the products I’m going to mention came from the Shop Miss A website where everything is just $1…seriously.

  7. e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip This is a whipped highlighter that you can use on your face, eyelids or lips. I found it on Shop Miss A for $1 but it’s also available on the e.l.f. website for the same price. I haven’t seen it in any stores though. There are four colors…”Pink Lemonade”, “Lilac Petal”, “Spotlight”, and the one I have “Golden Peach”.
  8. AOA Brush Cleaning Egg There are five different colors and it’s the perfect size for traveling.
  9. AOA Canvas Makeup Pouch I bought two of these machine washable makeup bags. They’re so cute and they have a variety with different hashtags and sayings on the front.AOA Studio Canvas Makeup Pouch, AOA Canvas Makeup Bag, Shop Miss A Canvas Makeup Pouch, AOA Studio
  10. Princessa Flat Eye Shader Brush I got this just because you can never have too many brushes, especially when it’s only $1.Princessa, Eye Shader Brush, Shop Miss A, Shop Miss A Eye Shader Brush
  11. Kleancolor Airy Minerals Loose Powder Blush I don’t think I’ve ever tried a loose powder blush before which is what prompted me to buy this, besides the price of course. It contains SPF15 which is a plus. There are several shades to choose from, I bought in “Plum”. Let me just tell you that it’s super pigmented! I was pleasantly surprised.
  12.  Kleancolor Angelic Wink Natural Lashes I wanted natural looking lashes that are comfortable to wear but I still struggle with applying strip lashes so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. It doesn’t get any better than paying $1 for lashes! The style I purchased is NLS502.KLEANCOLOR Angelic Wink Natural Lashes, 100% Human Hair Lashes, KLEANCOLOR Lashes, Natural Lashes, Shop Miss A Natural Lashes, Shop Miss A
  13. Santee Satin Moisture Lipstick I’m not really sure what shade of this lipstick I bought because the shades are numbered in the picture shown on the website, but when you click on a number no color is shown. I just picked a number, luckily for me it turned out to be a nice bright red and it smells good.

  14.  BR Pure Matte Lipstick This lipstick comes in six shades, I bought “Pure Nude”. I just can’t turn down a matte lipstick. The packaging is really cute also.

That’s everything I bought while I was doing the whole Glam on a budget thing again. Buying expensive, high end products is nice, but sometimes it’s not practical. If I can get quality products at super low prices that’s a win in my book!

Be sure to check out Shop Miss A, aside from makeup they also have jewelery and all sorts of accessories and everything is $1!!

BH Cosmetics New Luxe Lacquer-Vivid Color Lipstick Review

Hey guys, I’m back to share my thoughts about the new vivid color lipsticks from BH Cosmetics. Once again I saw something advertised and immediately ordered it. What can I say…I have an addiction, especially to lipstick. Seriously though, BH Cosmetics has quality products at affordable prices and they have the best sales so I don’t feel too guilty. Besides, they were only $7 each.

To start off with, there are twelve shades but I only bought two. All the shades are beautiful but the two that appealed to me the most were “Blackberry” and “Columbian Coffee”. I’ve worn both already and let me just say that I’m a die-hard “matte” fan, but if there were any lipstick/lip gloss that could change that, this would be it!  They’re super pigmented and I love the formula. It has coconut & olive oils, aloe vera and CoQ10. It’s really creamy when you first apply it but it’s not at all messy and it doesn’t bleed. It’s long lasting, hydrating and leaves you with a nice glossy shine. It’s not kiss proof, it does transfer but I only had to reapply after eating and drinking just to get the glossy finish back. The actual color didn’t fade at all. I will definitely be repurchasing once I run out and there are two other shades that I need in my life…”Cherries Jubilee” & “Red Velvet”, then life will be complete lol!

That’s it for now, thanks for reading!

First impression of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit

There’s been a lot of buzz on social media about the ABH Glow Kits. I’ve been kind of obsessed with highlighters lately so of course I went to Sephora to check them out. I ended up buying “Sun Dipped” because I thought the shades would go great with my skin tone and they just looked like they would give off that perfect summer glow. The 4 highlighters in this kit are “Bronzed”, “Tourmaline”, “Moonstone” and “Summer”. They are absolutely gorgeous!! I haven’t used them yet but I swatched them and OMG! ABH never disappoints!

The pans are huge so you definitely get your money’s worth and they’re removable which is nice. I’m just going to go ahead and pick up “That Glow” and “Sweets” as well. They’re so beautiful, I can’t resist!

That’s it loves, I just wanted to share my  initial thoughts. I’ll definitely do a review after I’ve used them even though I’m sure you’ve all heard and seen tons of reviews about this product already lol! I hope everyone has a great week!

tarte cosmetics, tarte skincare, "pack your bags" 911 undereye rescue patches

tarte 911 Undereye Rescue Patches Review

I’ve been buying alot of tarte products lately. I’ve been keeping up with them on snapchat and they’ve come out with quite a few new and interesting things, especially for skin care. One thing that I absolutely could not wait to get my hands on were the “pack your bags” 911 Undereye Rescue Patches.

What they are: Little gel patches that are supposed to soothe and hydrate the skin under the eyes, and reduce puffiness and dark circles. The box contains 4 packs(2 in each pack).

Price: $22

How they work: They contain hyaluronic acid which adds moisture and firmness. They’re heat activated which is supposed to ensure complete, concentrated absorption.

How to use them: You apply them to clean skin and leave them on for 10-15 minutes.

I used them in the morning for 4 days straight. Each time I noticed that the puffiness under my eyes had gone down just slightly and the skin was very well hydrated…it looked like I had applied a moisturizer under my eyes. As for the dark circles…right after I removed the patches my undereye area did look brighter but that was only temporary. I kept mine in the refrigerator because one of the girls on tarte’s snapchat said they work better that way. I found them to be really easy to use. They’re flexible, fit perfectly under the eyes and they stay in place. You don’t have to worry about them falling off or sliding down your face. The packaging is super cute and eye-catching. Personally, I feel like the box should contain at least 6 packs..but that’s just me and maybe I’m asking for too much lol! Overall I think this is a great product and I will be buying more, only this time I’m going to buy 4/5 at a time so I can get more use out of them.

Have you tried them? If so share your thoughts!

Perfectly Posh, Coconut Oil, Big Bath Oil

Perfectly Posh Big Bath Bar & “Poshymallow” Coconut Oil Review

Hey guys, I just wanted to give a quick review on two of the products I ordered from Perfectly Posh last month. First up is the “Poshymallow” Coconut Oil…I’ve just been using this to shave my legs with. My legs get super irritated after shaving no matter what razor or shaving cream I use. Shaving with coconut oil and then putting it on my legs after really helps with the irritation. I tried using this particular coconut oil as an all over body moisturizer but I just really wasn’t feeling it. I didn’t use it on my hair…for that I’ll stick to the brand I normally use, Nutiva Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil. I use that not only for my hair and skin but for cooking as well. The “Poshymallow” coconut oil is a decent product. It has sweet poshymallow scent(whatever that is) which smells really good. But I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it. I just like the organic kind better especially for cooking…I’m pretty sure this one is not for human consumption and should not be ingested. But if you’re only interested in bath and body and you want to try it, you get 4fl. for $7…check it out here

Next I have the “Strawberry Fields Forever” big bath bar. I just started using it last week and I’ve been using it everyday. It smells really good!  The first time I used it my skin instantly felt soft and moisturized. I will be repurchasing this. And it’s huge, 7oz. to be exact…so it should last a while. The cost is $9, check it out here
